Movie about a couple who fights odds of being separated by their parents.

Mukesh is construction contractor who is deep in debt finishing a big building project, where the owner refuses to pay until the job is done. His friend (Baiju) comes up with the idea to fake suicide to escape from paying the loan sharks he borrowed money from. While setting up a rope to fake the suicide, a woman (Shobhana) running from thugs who are chasing her, comes into his hotel room. At the same time the police do a raid of the hotel , and find the two of them. In order to avoid trouble Mukesh and Shobhana pretend in front of the police that they are lovers , who were about to commit suicide since there families don`t support their marriage. The police takes them to the station and sets up a register marriage at the station. Mukesh and Shobhana are forced to go along with the setup to avoid more trouble. After they leave the station Shobhana disappears , and Mukesh tries looking for her. How they meet again through fate makes up rest of the story.

The film begins at a journey in train where Paari (Jeeva) looks back at everything. Cut to the beginning, one remote village in Ramanathapuram. Paari is a do-gooder helping everyone in need. A magnanimous man, he gives anything and everything to others if they ask for. Promising his dad (Azhagan Perumal) to earn more, Paari sets out to Chennai. But he faces more challenges. He meets a young girl Madhi (Poonam Bajwa) and falls in love with her. Some goons also cause trouble for Paari. Meanwhile, Sivamani (J D Chakravarthy), the dreaded but sophisticated don of the city is getting ready to marry Madhu. When the two stories meet, chaos ensue, it is now up to Paari and Sivamani to sort it out.

In spite of their disinterest, Shourya and Divya are both pressured to get married. When they realize they have the same problem, they hatch a plan to appease their parents.

A few months later they run into each other, and agree to get married with a condition that they would file divorce after marriage and lead free life. But is life as simple as that? Does love bud after this marriage or they get divorced?
